League Hierarchy

Leadoff Baseball – Our entry level program for boys and girls 4-6 years old. Designed to teach the basic concepts of baseball in a fun, non-competitive environment in which all kids play equally. Teams have one weeknight and one Saturday practice/scrimmage each week. Offered in the Spring season, this program is also divided geographically (East/West of 400) to minimize travel. Competition Level (Low)

Recreational Baseball – Our largest offering for kids 7-18 is offered in both Spring and Fall seasons. Ages 7 and 8 utilize machine pitch, with kid pitch leagues beginning at age 9/10. Emphasis is on player development combined with healthy competition and consistent playing time. We ensure that all kids that signup will be placed on a team. Rec league teams have 3 practices or games a week during the season. Teams typically play 8-10 games with the addition of a season ending tournament in the Spring season. Competition Level (Moderate)

Select Baseball – A more competitive league with two age groups (9/10 and 11/12) consisting of 4 Roswell teams and 4-8 teams from other North Fulton communities. Emphasis is on continued player development while adding more advanced skills and tactics in play. To aid in this development and coaching, practices and game lengths are slightly longer than recreational league. Select league teams have 3-4 practices/games a week during the season. Teams typically play 20-25 games and tryouts usually occur at the end of January with 11 kids selected on each team. Competition Level (High)

Travel Baseball – Our highest level offering with 1-2 teams in ages 10-14. Teams are selected through a tryout process in late Summer and may participate in Fall practices and tournaments in addition to a vigorous Spring and early Summer schedule. Teams play approximately 50-65 games in a season including tournaments in the metro Atlanta area, usually concluding with a highlight tournament outside of Georgia. Our two 12 year old teams have grand-fathered status to the Cooperstown Field of Dreams tournament every year. Competition Level (Highest)
